It's June already - I can't believe it. How nice to have these long light evenings. You're probably not watching much television but there are two Yorkshire based programmes - one is The Yorkshire Steam Railway on Channel 5, all about the NYMR and with lots of filming in Pickering and Grosmont. The second programme is a period drama called Gentleman Jack set in West Yorkshire. My sister in London is enjoying both of them. She's coming to visit soon to celebrate 50 years of leaving Scarborough Girls' High School's upper sixth - how time flies!
If you want to reduce plastic in your home we have a local English willow basket maker who will make baskets to order. See the photo of a laundry basket. Contact the shop for more details.
Finally our latest organic fruit and vegetable guide is on the website and in the fish/meat department we have organic: fresh and smoked salmon; chicken: whole, breasts, thighs, burgers and sausages.
Have a good week!
PS if you or a friend can't come to the shop you can take a virtual tour! You can then email in an order and we will
