Snowdrops - 27 January 2020

It's nearly February and the snowdrops are poking their heads up - always a welcome sight. There are over 20 species of snowdrops the most common being Galanthus nivalis.
In North Yorkshire Fountains Abbey always has an amazing display of snowdrops and if you are down in London the Chelsea Physic Garden has a very interesting display with several rarities. Chelsea Physic Garden is the oldest botanic garden in London and was established in 1673 by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries - well worth a visit!
Have you done your RSPB Garden Bird survey? It's not too late if you do it today!
Back to the shop - this week's fruit and vegetable price guide is now up. In the fish/meat department we'll have organic: fresh salmon, smoked salmon, bacon, beef mince, chicken: whole & breast, and Tudor Pork. We also have a range of frozen fish and meats.

PS if you or a friend can't come to the shop you can take a virtual tour! You can then email in an order and we will endeavour to deliver it - see our deliveries page for details.
